Last night in 1985

My last night at the apartment passed predictably. Drunk and tired from another night out together, conversations trailing off. We tried to convince each other to go to breakfast the next morning, but we knew we wouldn't. We were too tired even to play video games. My makeshift bedding was still out from the weekend before. I watched TV until I lost consciousness and inadvertently switched to a televangelist. Was the first time I've been to church in years. Awoke before dawn to catch Ryan leaving for work. Couldn't sleep between 8:00 & 9:30 due to the sunlight streaming in. Finally got up, showered, packed and rode into the sunny morning to work and away from 1985 Pleasant Valley for the last time.
